Woodside Rated Outstanding by CQC !

We are absolutely delighted to share the wonderful news that Woodside has been rated Overall Outstanding following our recent Care Quality Commission assessment, which took place on 8 and 9 April 2026.
This is a fantastic achievement and one that reflects the dedication, compassion and professionalism of the whole Woodside team, as well as the strong relationships we have with the people we support, their families, friends and wider health and social care professionals.
The CQC rated Woodside as:
Overall: Outstanding
Safe: Good
Effective: Outstanding
Caring: Outstanding
Responsive: Good
Well-led: Good
The report recognised Woodside as a service where people are supported to live full, meaningful and enriched lives. Inspectors highlighted the personalised care people receive, the wide range of activities and experiences available, and the strong focus on dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.
The CQC praised the service for its commitment to person-centred care, noting that people are treated with exceptional kindness, compassion and respect. Families described Woodside as a safe, welcoming and supportive home where their loved ones are truly valued and encouraged to live their best lives.
The report also recognised the positive impact staff have on people’s health and wellbeing. Inspectors found that staff know people extremely well, respond quickly to changes in their needs, and work closely with health and social care professionals to achieve excellent outcomes.
Some of the feedback included in the report was incredibly moving. One relative said:
“[Person] is living their best life. I do not need to worry about them and can concentrate on being a family member.”
Another relative shared:
“I have never seen them so happy and living such an enriched life. I truly couldn’t wish for anything more.”
Health and social care professionals also praised the team, describing staff as skilled, knowledgeable, responsive and highly committed to delivering excellent care.
This Outstanding rating is a reflection of the passion, teamwork and commitment shown every day at Woodside. It celebrates the creativity, kindness and dedication of our staff team, who consistently go above and beyond to ensure people feel safe, respected, included and empowered.
